Rooted in our island heritage, we exist to connect Londoners with the true spirit of Mauritius, beyond the postcard, into the culture, people, and rhythm of island life. Through Bluebay Promotions, we bring Mauritius to the UK, hosting cultural showcases and live performances by Mauritian artists, creating meaningful moments of connection between island and city. Bluebay Promotions is a family-led cultural platform with roots that stretch back generations, proudly running for over 20 years. Our story began long before stages, sound systems, or headline artists. When our grandparents first arrived in London from Mauritius, they organised community gatherings and cultural events to keep Mauritians connected to one another, to their heritage, and to the music that reminded them of home. These events were about belonging, identity, and preserving culture far from the island. As the years passed, that same responsibility was carried forward by the next generation. Bluebay Promotions was born from this legacy, evolving community gatherings into professionally curated showcases that celebrate Mauritian music, artistry, and cultural expression in the UK.
For over two decades, we have proudly brought iconic Mauritian artists to London, creating moments that unite generations and keep the culture alive within the diaspora. We have had the honour of promoting legendary performers such as Jean-Claude Gaspard, Nancy Derougere, Roger Clency, Serge Lebrasse, and Sandra Mayotte, artists whose voices and music are deeply woven into Mauritian identity. Today, Bluebay Promotions stands as a bridge between Mauritius and London, honouring the past while creating space for present and future cultural expression.
